Jim entered the financial services industry with a desire to help people better understand and use saving, investment, and insurance planning strategies to improve their financial situation. Additionally, he was drawn towards the entrepreneurial aspects of an industry with the opportunity to build a business that directly reflected the quality of work and values of the advisor. As an advisor Jim was a Presidents Club qualifier and through his experiences working cases with other advisors using a team approach, he then gravitated towards field leadership positions. He was a sales manager and agency manager in the field and then moved into corporate roles including Regional Vice President, National
Vice President (Sales/Distribution), VP Marketing, Education and Development and SVP Field Development with top industry carriers. He holds the CLU, ChFC, CFP, CLF and LLIF designations along with having an MSM and MSFS. He’s been a member of LIMRA’s Agency Distribution Study Group, GAMA’s Executive Leadership Cabinet and a Board of Trustee member for The American College.
Jim continues to be passionate about the value financial education provides to consumers, advisors and field leaders; and for helping advisors, field leaders and carriers to build their businesses and achieve their goals. He continues to pursue these passions through his role at FSEdNet and sees a great opportunity for our industry to make a difference through financial literacy and competent, consumer-focused guidance from agents and advisors. His hands-on field and home office background combined with his leadership skills and technical knowledge provide a unique perspective to help advisors, field leaders and carriers build their businesses.
Jim is originally from Utica, NY and attended Harvard University where he was a four-year varsity swimmer and Olympic Trial Qualifier. Jim and his wife Gina reside in Boca Raton, FL and they have three sons. Outside of business Jim and his family stay actively involved in the USA Swimming Community.
